A recent graduate of the Royal College of Art, Sarah Bridgland incorporates cartoon imagery with a clean, minimalist style and a quirky sense of humour to produce cut-outs, pictures and pop-up imagery that is as synthetic as an early Tony Cragg sculpture and as cool as a Russian constructivist painting. Selected for Bloomberg New Contemporaries in 2006, she fabricates her pieces from discarded items, reinvesting them with a new found optimism.
