Material Worlds: Contemporary Sculpture from Ireland and the UK
15th May – 15th August

Ben Long’s ‘Dog Scaffolding Sculpture II’ is to be exhibited as part of the exhibition ‘Material Worlds’ at F. E. McWilliam Gallery, Banbridge, Co. Down. The sculpture will be the sixth in the series of Long’s scaffolding sculptures, and follows on from ‘Horse Scaffolding Sculpture’, commissioned by the Contemporary Art Society in 2009.

‘Material Worlds’ features the work of nine contemporary sculptors who create art out of a diverse range of materials from scaffolding, wool and glass to teacups, recycled materials and paper straws.

Participating artists: Ben Long, Tim Shaw, Brendan Jamison, Margaret O’Brien, Deirdre McKenna, Niall de Buitléar, David Beattie, John O’Connell, Corban Walker

The exhibition continues until 15 August 2010. Ben Long’s scaffolding sculpture will be on show until January 2011.

The gallery is open Monday to Saturday from 10am until 5pm and Sunday from 1pm until 5pm
